Here are the latest cancellations and notices for our area:

 

HEALTHCARE ANNOUNCEMENTS:

 

Baptist Health - Stuttgart has updated their visitor access policy effective this morning. They are temporarily suspending all routine, in-person visits to hospital patients, and encourage everyone to use alternative ways of interacting, including phone calls, FaceTime, Skype, and other means. 

All hospital common areas, waiting rooms and cafeterias are closed to visitors. The only acceptions to the visitors roll are for Women's and Children's services: one visitor is permitted for labor & delivery and postpartum patients, and two parents or guardians are permitted for NICU or pediatric patients under 18. Also, if required, one visitor will be allowed to support patients with impairment or mobility needs in the emergency department and hospital outpatient services. 

At each visitor access point of the hospital, visitors will be asked to sign in and designate who they are visiting, and complete a screening process. 

Baptist health urges all visitors to follow social distancing guidelines of at least 6 feet distance from each other, practice good hand hygiene, and follow the directions of hospital staff. 

 

Baptist Health Therapy Center in Stuttgart is open. They have cleaned and sterilized everything in the clinic, and will continue to do so after each use. They will also provide masks for everyone in the clinic including patients. Temperature checks will continue prior to each visit. For more information, call the Therapy Center at 870-673-8775. 

 

Baptist Health Medical Clinic in Stuttgart has constructed a drive-thru testing facility in their parking lot for clinic patients only. If you have an appointment with Baptist Health and are experiencing fever, cough, congestion, difficulty breathing, or have had contact with someone with COVID-19, please call the clinic at 870-673-7211 to set up a pre-appointment screening. 

Doctors will be manning the drive-thru testing facility all day, and will provide further instruction at your car following the screening.  

 

Mid Delta Health Systems in Clarendon asks all patients coming to the clinic to drive into the parking lot from North Second Street across from the courthouse. There will be a drive-thru pre-screening process set up for your safety before you can come into the clinic. Please stay in your car until you receive instruction. 

 

Urgent Care of Stuttgart is open and asking patients to limit the number of people brought to the clinic with them.  They are available to answer any questions or concerns by phone at 870-672-0911.

Crestpark in Stuttgart - Is restricting all visitors until further notice

 

BUSINESS ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Updated 3/27/20 1p - The Social Shop and Polka Dots in Stuttgart have launched two new websites for “at home” shopping at www.polkadotsstuttgart.com and www.thesocialshopstuttgart.com. They are also offering in-town delivery and curbside delivery.  Polka Dots can be reached at 870-673-2741 and The Social Shop at 870-830-9111.  Temporary hours are Tuesday - Friday, 10a - 3p and Saturday, closed.

Atlantis Coin Laundry in Stuttgart asks all individuals to remain outside or in your cars while washing and drying clothes. 

Farmers & Merchants Bank locations-  Due to increased health concerns, Farmers & Merchant’s Bank has closed its walk-up window at the branch inside of Cash Savers in Stuttgart until further notice. The drive-thru window remains open. Lobbies for all branches are open by appointment only. If you are unable to process your transactions through drive thru lanes, online banking, mobile banking, or debit and credit cards call the number for your location and make an appointment.

Mack’s Prairie Wings in Stuttgart is offering contact-less curbside delivery only at this time.  Call 877-622-5779 or place your order online at www.mackspw.com and select in-store pick up.  Two hours are required to prepare each order.  They ask that you call ahead to let them know you are on your way to pick up and they will meet you at the front of the store. Guns are excluded from curbside delivery.  If you decide to make a purchase of an in-stock item after you arrive at the store, an employee will get the item for you and complete your purchase while you wait in your vehicle.

 

Carter Building Supply in Dewitt is offering call-in orders with parking lot delivery.  To place an order, call 870-946-3272.

The French Seam in Stuttgart has suspended classes and clubs until further notice.  They remain open with changed hours, from 10 to 5 Monday through Friday and closed on Saturday. Coker Hampton Drug Company & Gift Shop in Stuttgart- While both the gift shop and new wellness center and pharmacy are open for business, they are now closed to foot traffic and customers are encouraged to use the new drive thru or to take advantage of curbside delivery or delivery to homes and offices. The pharmacy number is 870-673-2691 and you can also shop for gifts from home by calling or texting 870-659-0777.  

Arkansas County Bank in DeWitt and Stuttgart have closed their lobbies and are asking customers to use their drive-thru, ATM, telephone banking and online banking services.  If you need assistance you can call either branch to schedule an appointment.

Stone Bank in Dewitt and Gillett have closed their lobbies and have extended their drive-up and ITM hours to 6 pm Monday through Friday and until noon on Saturday.  Electronic and online banking is also available. If you need to make an appointment, call 833-253-2265.

The Stuttgart Sign Shop- is contacting their customers for scheduled installations and pick ups and is conducting business out of their home office.  They are processing orders by phone at 870-201-7446, by email at Sales at the Stuttgart Sign Shop dot com and online at Stuttgart Sign Shop dot com. 

Buerkle Drug Company & Gifts in Stuttgart- is offering free delivery and customers can call ahead for curbside service.  The number is 870-673-1311.

 

The Stuttgart Twin Cinema is closed until further notice.

 

Open Season Sports Bar & Grill in Stuttgart - is now offering carry-outs and curbside delivery at 870-672-4193.

Kelly’s on the Square in Dewitt - is offering in-town home or office delivery and curbside service for lunch and dinner, including new casserole options, at 870-946-0782. Check Kelly’s on the Square on Facebook for their menu and daily casseroles.

 

SNAP Fitness in Stuttgart is closed until further notice. They encourage you to continue your fitness goals safely at home and to continue supporting local business.

 

Annette’s Antiques and Treasures in Stuttgart reminds customers that their small business is open each day this week through Saturday from 10 to 3 and is offering curbside delivery and in-town delivery. Annette’s number is 870-673-8696.

 

Allen & Hestir Dental in Stuttgart and Family Dental Associates in Dewitt are asking patients to call to reschedule appointments and restricting treatment to urgent or emergency care only at this time.  To reschedule your appointment or request emergency care, call 870-673-7181 for the Stuttgart clinic and 870-946-4564 for the Dewitt clinic.

The Stuttgart Public Library is closed indefinitely but will still offer online services at Stuttgart Public Library dot org and they can be reached at Stuttgart Public Library at G-Mail dot com.  No fines are being charged at this time and books can still be deposited at the library’s book drop offs.

CITY & COUNTY:

 

A run-off election for DeWitt School District Board, Zone 7 will be held Tuesday, March 31st from 7:30am to 7:30pm. Due to precautions being taken in response to the covid-19 pandemic, The Arkansas State Board of Election Commissioners has limited the polling places from 3 to just one, at the Arkansas County Courthouse in DeWitt. 

 

No voters will be denied the right to vote, but a screening process will take place for each voter. The courthouse is closed to the public, but on the front door you will see the number for Arkansas County Clerk, Melissa Wood, 870-946-4349. If you are there to vote, call that number. You will be screened and taken inside to fill out a paper ballot. The poll workers may have further instructions for your safety at that time. 

 

The Governor has suspended restriction on absentee ballots. If you would like to vote absentee, call Arkansas County Clerk, Melissa Wood at 870-946-4349, or email arco-clerk-melissa-at-century-tel-dot-net

 

The Dewitt Police Department has closed its building and there will be no entry to the public except in the event of an emergency.  If you need to make a non-emergency report, call 870-946-2122. For emergencies, call 9-1-1.

 

In Dewitt, the Drivers’ test scheduled for March 25th has been cancelled.

Dewitt Municipal Waterworks  has closed their building to the public.  Payments can be dropped off at the door or mailed.  If you have any questions, call 870-946-4261 or email Dewitt Water at CenturyTel dot net.

The Stuttgart Police Department has announced that their building is closed.  Patrols will continue as normal with extra safety precautions.  If you need to make a non-emergency report, call (870)673-1414. For emergencies, call 9-1-1.

Stuttgart Municipal Waterworks has closed their lobby until further notice.  The drive-thru remains open and payments can also be made online or by mail.  If you have any questions, call 870-673-3246.

Arkansas County Courthouses in Dewitt and Stuttgart, along with the Stuttgart Courthouse Annex, County Road Department, Sheriff’s Office and Jail are restricted access to the public, until further notice.  If you have business with an office in the courthouse or annex, please call that office.  Early voting and elections are open as usual and entry will be at the handicap entrance at the Dewitt Courthouse only.  For more information, call the County Judge’s Office at 870-946-4321.

The Arkansas County Extension Office is closed to the public.  For assistance, call 870-946-3231 or email Arkansas dash Dewitt at U-A-E-X dot E-D-U.  Soil samples and other materials can be delivered to them in the drop off container located outside their door.

 

COMMUNITY EVENTS:

 

The Arts Center of the Grand Prairie is closed to the public. The After-School Art Program has been cancelled for the remainder of the year. The Grand Prairie Festival of the Arts Series has been interrupted, and the Decorative Arts series has been postponed until the Fall.

New Salem Missionary Baptist Church in Casscoe’s Hamburger Supper and Bake Sale scheduled for Saturday, March 28th, has been postponed.  Tickets purchased will be honored on the rescheduled date or you can request a refund by calling Andrea McKennon at 870-456-2318.

In Dumas, the Delta Memorial Hospital Auxiliary’s presentation of The Sound of Music, scheduled for next Friday, March 27th has been cancelled until further notice.  

The clean up day planned for the Stuttgart Animal Shelter on Saturday, March 28th has been cancelled.

 

CHURCHES:

First United Methodist Church, Stuttgart- All activities have been cancelled through April 5th.  

Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Stuttgart has cancelled all worship services and activities through April 5th.

The Centennial Association’s evening with Russ Miller, founder of Creation, Evolution and Science Ministries scheduled for Monday, April 6th at the Grand Prairie Center in Stuttgart has been cancelled.

Faith Baptist Church, Dewitt - will livestream Sunday worship services at 8:30 am on Facebook through March 29th.  All other activities have been cancelled. Beginning this Sunday, you can also listen to their regular church service at 9:30 am on 105.5 The Duck.

St. John’s Lutheran Church in Stuttgart will hold their normal worship services Sunday at 8 and 10:15 am.  They will also livestream both services on Facebook. Their church service will air in its regular place at 10:15 Sunday on 105.5 The Duck

St. Alban’s Episcopal Church, Stuttgart has cancelled church activities and will broadcast their church service beginning this Sunday at 11:30 on 105.5 The Duck

Southside Baptist Church, Stuttgart – will livestream Sunday worship services on Facebook or at s-b-c-stuttgart dot org for the next two weeks at 10:30 and 6:45.  All other activities are cancelled. Southside will begin airing their church services on 105.5 The Duck beginning next Sunday, March 29th.

Stuttgart Harvest Church - will make its services available through Facebook Live - Sunday will be from 10:30 to 11:30, children’s worship experience will be Monday night from 7 to 7:30 and Family Worship will be Wednesday from 7 to 7:30.  The services can also be found on SoundCloud by searching Harley Petty. Beginning Wednesday, March 25th, from 7 to 7:30 services can also be heard on 105.5 The Duck.
